Auxiliary tasks
In addition to the music video we had to choose two different auxiliary tasks out of three possible. I've personally chosen to do:
1. a cover for its release as a part of digipack (CD/DVD package);
2. a magazine advertisement for the digipack.
In order to find the conventions of these media texts I'm going to analyse two different examples from each text (cover package , magazine advert).

Possible names for my band
Considering that in our final piece we cannot actually use the original band's name I was brainstorming some ideas of how I could rename it.
Nouvelle Vague means New Wave in French and the band's name is a play on words, meaning "new wave" in French, and "bossa nova" (new trend) in Portuguese. This refers simultaneously to their "Frenchness" and "artiness" (the '60s new wave of cult French cinema), the source of their songs (all covers of punk rock, post-punk, and New Wave songs), and their use of '60s bossa nova-style arrangements - information taken from Wikipedia.
Because they refer to New Wave which is an art movement in French cinema, I though that I could base my name on a different art movement within French cinematography.
Film noir is a cinematic term used primarily to describe stylish Hollywood crime dramas, particularly those that emphasize cynical attitudes and sexual motivations. Hollywood's classic film noir period is generally regarded as stretching from the early 1940s to the late 1950s.
Eventually I have come up with two similar names:
Noir Noir
Noir de Noir
I personally prefer 'Noir Noir' as it seems and sounds more 'Frenchy' for me and I believe it will still convey the band's specific style.
